Mainly, Kapok grows in temperate areas of Southeast Asia.

Hollow rate of Kapok fiber is about 80-90% so it's super light.

(weight is 1/8 compared cotton.)

Basically,Kapok is too light to spin so making yarn with kapok over 40%

is not available.

But ,by the specilal techniques,production will be available.

Kapok yarn is much bulky so we can makelight and soft fabric with this yarn.

And common name of Kapok is White Silk Cotton, It means fabric will be 

sophisticated face like a silk.

 

This fiber has potencial for new natural material.
